Rome, Italy – It’s a beautiful story of racing and friendship that will allow Max Lanza to be on the grid for the next round of the NASCAR Euro Series, scheduled this weekend at Most. The iconic #88 Camaro of the Roman driver suffered a heavy crash in the British round at Brands Hatch and, despite CAAL Racing’s efforts, the car was not ready in time for the upcoming event in the Czech Republic. For Lanza, the only option seemed to be missing the Eastern European round, until an unexpected opportunity opened up: the PRO Division seat in the #89 became available and it was CAAL Racing itself that gave Max the chance to continue his fight for the Challenger Trophy title.

I’m truly grateful to CAAL Racing for this opportunity. I had already resigned myself to skipping the Most round and saying goodbye to my chance of winning when this opportunity came along! The #88 is still a bit battered after the tough crash in England, but its spirit will be with me in the #89. I won’t have my usual colors, but all my partners will continue to support me in this wonderful adventure that never ceases to amaze. In a normal world I would have stayed home watching the others on TV, but here we are in the NASCAR Euro Series, and on Friday I’ll be behind the wheel of a race car. I can’t wait!” said a thrilled Max Lanza.

The Most round will kick off on Friday with two free practice sessions, while Saturday will host qualifying in the morning and Race 1 at 14:15. Race 2 will take place on Sunday at 15:20.
